Kenneth Ivan Lauder, age 83, of Hillsdale, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. On March 22, 1921 in Wright Twp., Michigan, he was born the son of Ivan Brecht and Adeline Julian. Kenneth was raised by mother Julian and his foster father, Frank Lauder.

Kenneth was a graduate of Pittsford High School in 1940. He then worked for the Kroger Co. for 34 years, retiring July 27, 1979. He enjoyed baseball and family reunions.

Surviving Kenneth are 2 sisters, Donna L. Gates of Cheboygan, MI, and Meg (Tony) Fowler of Osseo; 3 nieces, Marcia (Wayne) Gates, Cynthia (James) Scoggin and Kathryn (Scott) Grubbs; and one nephew, Michael Gates.

His parents, a brother, Carl Lauder, and a brother-in-law, Russel Gates, preceded him in death.

The funeral service for Kenneth I. Lauder will be Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Rev. Clyde Wonders officiating. Interment will follow in the Lickley Corners Cemetery in Wright Twp. Visitation will be held Friday, June 18, 2004 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 19, 2004 from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
