Helen A. Day, age 83, formerly of Waldron and Hudson passed away, Monday, April 26, 2004, at Lynwood Manor in Adrian. She was born September 6, 1920, in Monroe, Michigan to August L. and Gladys M. (Stump) Dusseau.

She married Leo "Cy" Day in Wauseon, Ohio on February 8, 1941, and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1989.

Helen was a life long Hillsdale County area resident. She enjoyed fishing, farming and was an avid bingo player.

Surviving Helen are one daughter, Carol (Terry) Layman of Orlando, Florida; one son, Chuck (Judy) Day of Hudsonville, Michigan; three brothers, Chuck Dusseau of Toledo, Ohio, Gus (Jan) Dusseau of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Vernon (Dottie) Dusseau of Florida; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, and three brothers, Bob, Ted and Donald Dusseau, preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Helen will be Friday, April 30, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Rev. Mark Johnston officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Waldron Cemetery at a later date.
