Donald L. Towers, age 70, of Winchester Drive, Somerset Center, Michigan passed away Sunday, January 16, 2005, at his home. He was born August 26, 1934 in Prattville, Michigan to Jesse and Audrah (Root) Towers. He married Fern Finley on June 13, 1953 and she preceded in death on May 26, 2002.

Don retired from Stubnitz-Green in 1974 with over 20 years of service. He graduated from Waldron High School Class of 1953, was a member of Odd Fellows & Rebekah Lodge in Onsted and was an avid bingo player.

Surviving Don are four sons, Gary Towers of Jackson, Michigan, Randy Towers of Somerset Center, Steve (Mary) Towers of Cement City, Michigan and Edwin Towers of Somerset Center; one sister, Louise Towers of North Carolina; one brother, Lawrence (Glenda) Towers of Fayette, Ohio; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, Debbie and one son, Dennis, one sister, Marie Warren and one brother, Ernest Towers.

Funeral services for Don will be Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Rev. Clyde Wonders officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Waldron Cemetery at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may make memorial contributions to the family.
