O'Leene Carpenter, age 81, of South Mackinaw Street, Waldron passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005, at home. She was born July 7, 1923 in Hillsdale County, Michigan to Martin and Ruth (Heckel) Johnston. She married Wave Carpenter on August 30, 1950 in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1978.

O'Leene retired from Waldron Industries in 1982, with over 20 years of service. She was a graduate of Waldron High School, Class of 1941.

Surviving O'Leene is one daughter, Wava (Mike) Kramer of Fayette, Ohio; two sons, Jeff (Diane) Carpenter and Lewis Carpenter; one sister, Blanche Helinski all of Waldron; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Her parents, husband and one grandson, Brandon Kramer, preceded her in death.

Funeral services for O'Leene Carpenter will be Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Waldron with Pastor Ned Wyse officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ransom Township. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
