Velma M. (Mohr) Francis, age 97, of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away Monday, February 7, 2005 at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. She was born
September 11, 1907 in Wright Twp., Michigan to Franklin and Florence (Tiffaney) Mohr. She married Claude E. Francis in 1925 and he preceded her in death in 1981.

Velma was a former seamstress for Baumgarden and Harvard of Hillsdale and also was employed at Crotty Corporation in Quincy. Velma lived at her home at 94 Glendale Avenue for over 70 years.

Surviving Velma are two sons, James (Phyllis) Francis of Frontier, Michigan and Richard (Emalou) Francis of Cambria, Michigan; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, and one brother Clifton Mohr preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Velma will be Friday, February 11, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Pann officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Hillsdale. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
