O. James Ash, age 74, of Prattville, Michigan passed away Thursday, November 10, 2005, at his home. He was born February 13, 1931, in Osseo, Michigan to Peleg and Alta (Burger) Ash. He married Doris Girdham on November 6, 1948 in Osseo, Michigan and she survives.

Jim retired from Metalloy Foundry in Hudson, Michigan in 1996 after 47 years of service and attended Prattville Community Church. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing, gardening and working on cars.

Surviving Jim besides his wife, Doris, of Prattville is one daughter, Wendy (Jack) Seigneur of Kalkaska, Michigan; one son Michael Ash of Prattville, one sister, Luella Rutan of Coldwater; five grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff) Monahan of Tecumseh, Michael (Dawn) Ash, Mark (Sandy) Ash and Melanie (Kim) Gerig all of Hudson, Michael (Erica) Seigneur of Texas and nine great grandchildren.

His parents, one sister and three brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services for O. James Ash will be Monday, November 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Rev. Martin Bacalia officiating. Interment will follow in Prattville Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
