Paul M. “Skip” Briskey, 64, of Hudson, Mich., died April 7, 2007, in Tecumseh,
Mich., at the home of his son, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 17, 1942, in Hudson, to Harry and Eleanor (Kaminski)
Briskey. He graduated from Waldron High School in 1960 and served in the U.S.
Army.
Skip worked with his sons at Briskey Brothers Construction in Tecumseh and
was a lifelong truck driver who enjoyed meeting people wherever he went. He was
a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson. He will be greatly missed
by those who knew him and loved his quick wit and kind ways.
Skip is survived by a daughter, Chris (and Steve) Wilden of Fleming, Ohio;
three sons, Rob (and Kim) Briskey and Rick Briskey, both of Tecumseh, and Harry
Briskey of Hudson; three sisters, Michelin Dietrich of Osseo, Pauline (and
James) Schaedler of Waldron, and Margaret Briskey of Fayette, Ohio; two
brothers, Jerry (and Eunice) Briskey of Waldron and John (and Jackie) Briskey
of Stryker, Ohio; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; friend and
former wife, Shirley Briskey of Hudson, and special friend, Patricia Roan of
Hillsdale.
His parents; a sister, Janet Everingham, and a brother, James Briskey,
preceded him in death.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eagle Funeral Home in
Hudson with Fr. H. Paul Ruddy officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary
Cemetery in Hudson.
