Peter Westhoven, 50, of Camden Road, Waldron, Mich., died March 18, 2007, at
his home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1957, in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Bernard and Mary
(Long) Westhoven. He married Pamela Frantom on April 17, 2003, in Paris, Tenn.,
and she survives.
Peter graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1973. He received
all-state honors in baseball and track. He was employed as an inspector
at TRW in Fayette. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #312 and the Eagles in
Montpelier. He enjoyed softball, fishing, hunting and was a big Ohio State fan.
Besides his wife, Peter is survived by a son, Mitchell (and Jill) Westhoven
of Hamler, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Sheena “Bean” Linebrink of Waldron; three
grandchildren, Olivia, Quinnton and Ethan; five sisters, Jane (and Robert)
Ostlund of Savannah, Ga., Rosemary (and Dale) Dunlap of Connersville, Ind., Mary Sue
(and Robert) Stephey of Wauseon, Ohio, Janis (and Kevin) Kern of Napoleon,
Ohio, and Joann Westhoven (and James Frost) of Liberty Center, Ohio; five
brothers, Fr. Thomas of Chamberlain, S.D., Vincent (and Ginny) of Harrisburg,
Pa., Carl (and Joyce) of Defiance, Ohio, George (and Nancy) of Lake Havasu
City, Ariz., and Bernard (and Kim) of Liberty Center, Ohio; and one
half-sister, Antoinette Westhoven of St. Paul, Minn.
His parents and a sister, Clair Grace, preceded Peter in death in infancy.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2007, at Eagle
Funeral Home‑Fayette Chapel in Fayette, Ohio, with Deacon Vincent
Westhoven officiating. Visitation is planned from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the
funeral home.
