Thressa E. Shaffer, age 84, of Waldron, Michigan passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Community Hospital in Bryan, Ohio. She was born July 15, 1922, in Waldron, Michigan to William A. and Myrtle (Rutledge) Shaneour. She married Earl R. Shaffer on February 8, 1941, in Bryan, Ohio and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1994.

Thressa was a life long Waldron area resident and retired from Fayette Tubular. She graduated from Waldron High School and was a member of the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary in Waldron.

Surviving Thressa are two daughters, Earlene Ridgway of Edgerton, Ohio and Terry (David) Cramer of Hudson, Michigan; one son, Randall (Rosemarie) Shaffer of Angola, Indiana; one sister, Nora Double of Waldron, Michigan; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband, four sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Thressa will be Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Rev. Floyd Vincent officiating. Interment will follow at Waldron Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
